Card
Printing
In today's plastic card world, all kinds of cards with even more different
applications need a more flexible and faster personalization system
for card issuers and service bureaus. For many years, embossing was
the only method for personalization, and is still used for credit cards
today. We use thermotransfer color printing, inkjet printing and laser
engraving for personalization of ID-cards, chip cards or contactless
smart cards. We provide a powerful and flexible range of solutions for
plastic card personalization.

Small in size, but big on functionality! The IC2000 takes up only as
much space as the size of a sheet of standard A4 paper. The IC2000 is
optimal for printing photos, logos, bar codes and any kind of font directly
onto plastic cards. For quick decentralized card issuing, including
image capturing, the IC2000 offers you all the flexibility you need,
in color of course!
With 300-dpi. resolution in true color, the printout is near photo-quality.
Windows-based software, including printer driver, makes it easy to use.
Encoding, chip-contacting and automatic feeder are available as options.

The
printer is able to print up to full card size (CR80) either in full
color or only single color. The difference in the printing is only the
ribbon material you use. In full color printing, the card passes up
to five times the print head, by moving forward and backwards. (Yellow,
Magenta, Cyan, Black, Overlay).
All the dye sublimation print (color) has to be covered by the transparent
overlay to fix the colors on the card.

Foreign
Shipments:
Please telephone 1-888-652-3737 or e-mail us for shipping information
and charges. All shipping prices are based on US dollars and do not
include tariffs, duties or brokerage fees.
Software
Packages:
Artwork should be created in Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia
Freehand or QuarkXPress. Macintosh or PC file types are supported. Extra
charges apply for other software programs.
One Application: When possible, do all artwork design in one
software application. Ex: If a logo is done with PhotoShop, it is preferable
that type and layout pictures are also done with PhotoShop. Thus, all
elements are kept "native." If this is not possible, include
all support files (TIFF or EPS) with the final file.
File Formats:
Use only TIFF or EPS file formats when placing graphics. Color graphics
should be converted from RGB to CMYK.
Disk Formats:
Submit all pertinent files on a floppy, CD-ROM or Zip Disk.
Fonts:
Send all fonts (printer and screen fonts) used in the file or convert
larger/bolder type to paths in Freehand or Illustrator. Important: Use
only Postscript fonts; True Type cannot be used.
Bleeds:
All bleeds, including placed graphics, should include 0.125" (3.18
mm) of overwork on all sides.
Paper Outputs:
Supply black-and-white laser output for each color, as well as a black-and-white
laser composite of the file. Color composites (laser or dye-sublimation)
are helpful if available.
Color Names:
Use consistent color names across applications and different files.
If you call a color "Pantone 148 CV" in one place, you must
use the exact name and spelling elsewhere so that the software does
not interpret the slightly different name as a new color.
Define Colors:
Make sure spot colors are defined in the software as spot colors, not
process colors. The same applies in reverse.
